Sauna Weight Loss Without Exercise ?

One of the benefits of sauna, weight loss, is intriguing.  There may finally be a way to lose weight without  exercise.

If you are looking for a way to not only increase your weight loss efforts, stave off obesity and combat heart disease as well as diabetes and ramp up your body’s metabolism then you need to seriously consider a sauna. The fact is that sauna heat deeply penetrates the body. sauna weight loss in inchesThis is beneficial because as the muscles and organs of the body are subjected to this heat, the body’s metabolism fires up causing your pulse to race, which leads to to sweat. The body will eventually cool itself but only after your body increases it’s heart rate, cardiac output and of course an increase in metabolism, which we will call “sauna weight loss“.

With sauna weight loss, it’s not an increase in metabolism that cause the pounds to come off. That is indeed the catalyst. However, what an increased metabolism does is allows your body to convert food into energy at a much more substantial rate. This is evident by the perspiration and sweat that the body produces as it burns off this energy.

Conversely, having a slower metabolism means that the body is storing the energy that comes from food in the fat tissues of the body. This stored energy turns into fat and, unless there is proper exercise and activity, that fat will never be released. Hence, your body will start gaining weight.

Having a high metabolism can be helped by exercise as well as the use of a sauna. However,  weight loss is not the only way a sauna can help a person.

A short session in a sauna can greatly reduce heavy metals that can build up in the blood because of metabolic ups and downs. These heavy metals can cause weight gain as well as digestion problems. With “sauna weight loss”, lipophilics or fat stored toxins can impede weight loss unless removed. Sauna sessions can remove them from the body.

Lastly, even though weight loss through sweating is temporary (because it is water weight), the actions that cause the sweating, namely the sending of blood to convert fats and carbs via the capillaries, can account for a loss of over 600 calories per short session.

The next time you think about spending some time in a sauna, remember that sauna weight loss is only a small part of what a few short minutes in a sauna can do for you and your health.

Sauna Benefits

There are a number of infrared sauna benefits that may help your body on the inside and out.  I have mentioned a few below but this is by no means a complete list.  Of course for me – a sauna just feels good!

Detoxification

Using an infrared sauna can help to detoxify your body.  The infrared heat helps to rid the body of toxins, such as lead and mercury and other substances, including cholesterol, nicotine and alcohol. Pain Relief

Pain relief may be one of the most crucial sauna benefits. The heat from an infrared sauna can penetrate deep into the skin to help relieve muscle aches and spasms. Using a sauna has been shown to help with conditions like arthritis and fibromyalgia.

An infrared sauna can also be used to help a person that has been injured. If the sauna is used right after an injury occurs, it can help to greatly reduce pain and swelling at the injury site.

Weight loss is another of the many sauna benefits.  The heat that penetrates your muscles in an sauna increases your metabolism, which causes you to sweat.  As your body tries to cool down, you burn off excess calories. The increased body temperature produced in a thirty minute session can help you burn approximately three hundred and fifty calories. Not only are you burning calories, but you are also giving your heart a great workout.

Other Health Benefits

Not only does using an infrared sauna promote good health, but it can also help someone who is sick or suffers from a chronic condition.  Just a three degree increase in the body’s temperature during a thirty minute sauna session can help to trigger the body’s immune system. The increase in the body’s temperature can help to stimulate white blood cells, which may be beneficial in the  body’s fight against diseases such as cancer.

As you can see there are many good reasons to indulge in regular sauna sessions.  Even if you are in perfect health you may reap the sauna benefits like increased metabolism and clear skin.  Not to mention I find taking a sauna very relaxing.  A and as we all know, there is plenty to stress us out these days and a home sauna may be just the ticket to ease away the days worries!
